Well I don't grind the shit out of everything when it first comes out, so I still have a lot of weapons to get for heroes and the like. There are some that I'd like to have for my own characters, but I'm waiting until I can afford all the upgrades for the weapons before I bother getting them - otherwise they would just sit in my inventory waiting to be used.

I have the BMP and don't use the weapons unless I have a hero that needs one.
Some of them might look nice but there's nothing special about being able to poof a weapon out of air.

I'd like a chance at some of the weapons as they are some of the nicer skins for what I would want in a few weapons, other than that, no. I could really care less, especially since I dont have the BMP.

I'm definitely down with the skins. In fact I'm trying to get the right mods for them so I can pimp them all around Tyria.

My warrior, my 'Guild Hall Smells.......', pimps a modded Mursaat Shield. I'm working on modding a Charr staff for my rit, and my female necro (aka my av) is working on modding curses Tengu wand & focus.

I actually haven't started the Palawa Joko one yet; then I'll decide who gets to pimp Undead stuff.

On a related note, if NCSoft decides to re-release the BMP, these items will lose a lot of standing in my eyes. I'm proud of them because I had to jump through their hoops and give up the EOTN box for it.

I'm still using them and when I get new mods for casters, I do the missions and put the mods on the new weapon, and slap it on a hero. I still LOVE the Tengu and Undead weapons.

My necro is using the Tengu Staff and my Dervish has the Charr Scythe.

The Bonus missions are fun for me at least. I run the Gwen mission all the time when I am bored.

In general you are right, you can live without those items. I hope it gives you some relief.

I still use the following weapons

Axes: a ton of...
Tengu Axes (I first thought it sucks, but it ROCKS. Huge blade, great to open monk bellies!)
Undead Axes (got tired of the sword - if I had FoW, I would use it)

Swords: None (Tengu Sword needs a female warrior, does not work with John Wammo)
Hammers: None

Staves: multiple of each
Charr Staff
Tengu Staff
Undead Staff
- I like the staves!

Bows:
Charr Bow
Tengu Bow
Undead Bow

Foci/Wands:
None, though they are really nice.

Shields:
none, had some 10 Undead shields, but I just got the good old Defender/Aegis from Prophecies.

Why? The Shield has a nice skin, but it is flat as a wooden plank, it is not bent, makes the shield float and look odd with some armors.

Scythe:
I love them all, but did not decide on one yet. Did not play my Dervish recently.

Well, I'm not one of you hardcore players that can afford to throw away thousands of ectoplasms on a single weapon...so if I was given the chance to buy the BMP, I would. All of the skins are good, in my opinion.

Those weapons would be easier for me to obtain than anything else I can think of. Plus, I'd like something else to do.

Welcome to Guild Wars, the game that originally was meant to have anything available to anyone with little to no grind...

I'd still love to get my hands on a lot of the skins, the staffs are very nice and i particuarly like some of the undead skins.

I'll get it if its made available, but then riverside will implode again.

they are still far superior to most other skins.

Imagine the sales if we had known about the skins beforehand xD.

I like the missions but feel the weapons are too heavy metal/fantasy looking for my taste. I just don't get the "black & spiky = teh leetness" thing ANet design team has going for both weapons and armor now.

Thumbs down

I'm upset at Anet for being so shady with having people purchase the BMP, then not allowing anyone to purchase it once it is released.....it makes me distrust Anet. It is like them selling a surprise box, where you don't know what you are buying until you open the box, then once the box is opened, nobody can buy it anymore whether it is good or not....

Definately agreed, although i do have the BMP, but no point in penny pinching now adays. Go for that rare skinned weapon you wanted! Go crazy and get Obby armor. Yea the skins are CRAZY sweet, but there are cooler stuff. Its a mere easy to obtain rare skinned weapon.
